Building Guidelines & the Architectural Review Committee

Thinking about Building Something?

Contact the Architectural Review Committee Before You Begin.

Contact the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before you begin your project. In most cases, approval from the ARC is mandatory.

  • The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) must be notified if you have plans to significantly change the appearance of your yard or home, such as painting it a new color, building a fence or privacy wall, adding a storage shed, or putting in a new deck or addition to your home.

  • Click here to download a PDF of the Great Hills Homeowners Association’s Rules & Building Guidelines.

  • The ARC and Chairman Rory Foster can be reached at arc@greathillshoa.com.
In fact, it’s best to contact the ARC for advice and assistance when you are in the planning stage. We can help you with the scope of your project and alert you to any potential issues, which can save you time and money.

The Architectural Review Committee will approve/disapprove requests in the following timeframes:

  • Minor Improvements: 1 week

  • Major Improvements or New Construction: 3-4 weeks
